Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 19, 2026
MyBrief is a service operated by Cutting Edge Analytics LLC (“we”, “us”). This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and who else we share it with. If anything here is unclear, email kolby@ce-analytics.com and we will answer.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address, authentication credentials, and (optionally) your timezone.
- Sources you choose:the RSS feeds, YouTube channels, Twitter/X handles, and webpages you’ve added.
- Briefings: the daily briefing content we generate for you, including AI summaries and the source citations.
- Billing info: if you pay for a plan, Stripe holds your payment method. We only see the subscription tier and status.
- Usage metrics: anonymized counts and costs so we can size the service. We do not track individual reading behavior.
How we use it
- Generate your daily briefing and deliver it to you.
- Send transactional email (daily briefing, password reset, billing).
- Operate the service (debug failures, prevent abuse, manage cost).
- Comply with legal obligations when required.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Your briefing content and source list are visible only to you and to the subprocessors listed below, strictly to deliver the service.
Subprocessors
MyBrief runs on the following services. Each processes the minimum data needed for its role:
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Inngest — background job execution.
- Anthropic (Claude) — article summarization and briefing assembly.
- Google (Gemini) — newspaper-style image generation for top stories.
- YouTube Data API — video and caption metadata.
- Apify — Twitter/X content ingestion when you add a Twitter source.
- Resend — daily email delivery.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
- Sentry — error reporting.
About the content we summarize
MyBrief reads content that’s already publicly available (RSS, public YouTube videos, public tweets, public webpages) and produces short transformative summaries with a link back to the original. We don’t republish full articles or bypass paywalls. If you own a site and want us to stop summarizing it, email the address above and we will block it.
Your rights
- Export. You can download a JSON copy of your account from Settings → Account.
- Deletion. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the same page.
- Access, correction, objection. Email us and we will help within 30 days.
- Regional laws.If you’re in the EU/UK, we act as data controller for your account data. If you’re in California, this policy also serves as our CCPA notice — we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Retention
We keep your briefings for as long as your account is active so the archive is useful. When you delete your account we remove your profile, sources, and briefings within 30 days. Anonymous aggregate metrics may be retained for operational analysis.
Security
Credentials are hashed. Transport is TLS. Service role keys live only in server-side environment variables. No system is perfectly safe — if we learn about a breach affecting your data, we will notify you without undue delay.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, when relevant, send a heads-up email. Continued use of MyBrief after changes go live means you accept the updated policy.
